Welcome to Hudson's Blog: 3 Months

Wow how the time has flown! Hudson, you are such blessing to our family. Your smile makes me want to move mountains for you. You are so "talkative" lately... constantly making noises and laughing. My favorite noise is when you sound like an owl. You still HATE tummy time. You refuse to push up with your arms to hold your head up and try to turn over. You look like you could turn over at any minute one day but then the next you won't even try. It's very frustrating to me but I know that you'll do it in your own time.

Tomorrow is Halloween and Dede made you the most precious candy corn outfit! You are now wearing 3-6 month clothes. You will start wearing size 2 diapers tomorrow (since you only have a couple size ones left). You weigh 14 lbs. You are 24 inches long. You're really starting to look chunky and of course you are the cutest baby ever. You eat 4-6 ounces every 3-4 hours. You are still waking up between 2:00 & 3:00 to eat. You go back to sleep pretty easily. You are teething! I can feel a little poke on the bottom left... feels like the lateral incisor or the cuspid (see picture) even though you're not supposed to get this tooth for another year! You love chewing on your hand. You are much more aware of the things going on around you. When you woke up the past two mornings, you stopped crying as soon as you saw me and gave me the biggest smile! You are able to stay awake a lot longer than even a week ago. You still love your activity mat. We tried you in the Johnny Jump Up for a little bit today. You weren't quite sure what to think of it but you enjoyed swinging back and forth and spinning around in circles. Your schedule is still a little wonky and it drives me bananas! You typically eat at 2am, 6/7am, 9/10am, 1/2 pm, 4/5pm, 6/7pm, 10pm - now.... that 6/7am feeding, you may only take 1-2 ounces, then the 9/10am, you may only take another 1-3 ounces, but by 1/2pm, you seem to be ready to eat. So even though some days you may eat 6-7 times, you are still only eating about 30-35 ounces... which is recommend for your weight.
